Part One
“Luckiness”
sometimes happens in mysterious ways.
‘Your coming
late’ sometimes ‘saves’ your life.
‘The
postponement of your wedding’ might be ‘a blessing’.
‘Your being
fired from a job’ could be ‘a mercy’.
‘Your having no
baby’ may be ‘a blessing in disguise’.
Often, ‘you
hate a thing’ but the thing is good for you.
Allah knows the things you don’t,
does He?
That’s why, be
not too restless for what happen to you.
Everything happens because Allah wants
it so.
Don’t complain
too much. Complaining increases restlessness.
Be grateful.
Say Alhamdulillah. It generates
happiness.
Say
Alhamdulillah over and over, until you cannot say it again.
When you go to
bed without medicine;
when you wake up because of one single sound;
when you
open your eyes and see no medical equipment in your body,
know for sure that
you live a happy life.
Alhamdulillah,
Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah,
say it over and over again.
Don’t look back
in anger! The past might haunt you.
Stop looking
ahead too often! The future may scare you.
Instead, look
above! May you find Allah there and be happy afterwards.
You don’t need
to be popular and have many friends.
A lion, the king of the jungle, often
walks alone while sheeps walk collectively.
So are your fingers: little finger, ring
finger, middle finger, and index finger stay close together.
The thumb stands
alone.
Without the
thumb, other fingers could not function optimally.
What matters is
not the quantity of your friends but the love and value that you can share.
